FAQ
Solo Traveller
Does Triphaus store the documents I upload?
No. You upload a PDF, screenshot, or photo — Triphaus extracts the travel details and stores only those. The original file is deleted from the Triphaus server immediately after processing and is never retained by Triphaus. (The AI provider, OpenAI, may retain API inputs for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring — see our Privacy Policy.)
What file types can I upload?
PDF booking confirmations, photos, and screenshots all work. Triphaus AI reads the content and extracts dates, times, locations, and reference numbers automatically.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. The free plan includes 1 AI trip — upload one booking document and Triphaus builds your itinerary automatically. Additional trips are available as one-time packs or with the Traveler annual plan.
What languages does the AI support?
Seven: English, German, Spanish, French, Simplified Chinese, Hindi, and Ukrainian. You can switch the app language at any time in Settings. The AI responds in whichever language you have active.
Group & Family Travel
Can I share a trip with my partner or travel group?
Yes. Open any trip, tap Share, and Triphaus generates a shortcode and QR code. Anyone with the code needs the free Triphaus app to view it. Sharing is read-only in v1; collaborative editing is planned for a future update.
Can I share a packing list with the group?
Yes. Packing lists are included in every plan, including Free. Build a list per trip, add and check off items, and save reusable templates to reuse on future trips. When you share a trip, the recipient sees its packing list too.
How do I manage my purchase?
Packs (Pack 1, Pack 3, Pack 10) are one-time purchases — no renewal. The Traveler annual plan renews automatically each year; cancel anytime in App Store Settings → Subscriptions before the renewal date. To view your purchase history, open the App Store → tap your profile → Purchased. For a refund, use Apple's Report a Problem at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Why did my trip invite code stop working?
For privacy, invite links expire after 14 days — the code, not the trip. Anyone who redeemed the code before it expired keeps access to the shared trip. To invite someone new, just open the trip and tap Share again: Triphaus generates a fresh code and QR in seconds, free on every plan. Ending the share or deleting the trip invalidates the code immediately.
Long Stays & Nomads
How does Triphaus handle currency conversion?
In v1 you can add currency notes to any trip event manually. Automatic live conversion is planned for a future update.
Can I track visa expiry dates?
Not yet — a dedicated visa field with expiry reminders is on the roadmap. Until then, you can note visa dates in any event's details.
Privacy & Data
Where is my data stored?
Your trips are stored on your iPhone. The AI parsing runs through the Triphaus server, which holds your files only for the duration of the request — nothing is retained server-side.
Who can see my trips?
Only you, unless you explicitly share a trip link. Triphaus has no social feed, no public profiles, and no passive data sharing. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
